Gabriel is the CEO and Founder at Zauber, US/LatAm-based software boutique and social analytics company providing professional services and SaaS products for brands, media companies, TV networks and publishers in Latin America and the US. Zauber is the company behind social media monitoring and social curation products Tribatics and Flowics.

He's an Argentinean entrepreneur, but spends most of his time in Brazil and US, leading the international expansion of Zauber. Gabriel graduated from ITBA with a BS in Computer Engineering.

Rich Brown

Global Head, Elektron Analytics at Thomson Reuters

Rich Brown is Global Head of Elektron Analytics at Thomson Reuters. In his role, Rich oversees the strategy and financial success of the firm's offerings for Analytic Services. Over the last six years, he has developed the firm's machine readable news product portfolio including its award-winning News Analytics system which analyzes news and social media for attributes including entities, topics, sentiment, relevance, novelty, and psychological metrics. An expert in the application of text analytics for finance, Rich's experience encompasses analysis of unstructured data and natural language processing techniques designed to uncover alpha generating and risk mitigating strategies.

Prior to joining Thomson Reuters, Rich co-founded and was the Chief Operating Officer at Foresight Research Solutions, LLC, a New York-based independent research firm and member of the NASD and SIPC. Before Foresight, Rich was a senior client manager for IBM in New York.

He holds a Bachelor's degree in Management and International Business from The Pennsylvania State University and an MBA from New York University's Stern School of Business.

Conway Chen

Director, Business Development at Twitter @conwaychen

Conway leads a business development team at Twitter focused on global strategic partnerships related to web syndication and the data ecosystem. He also manages the team responsible for Twitter Certified Products Program. Prior to joining Twitter in 2012, Conway was Head of Strategy and General Counsel at Striiv, a consumer electronics startup in the health and fitness space. Earlier in his career, he served in both a business development and legal capacity at Google and YouTube, spending time focused on new business initiatives and product launches domestically and abroad, with a particular focus on China and SE Asia.

Conway earned a B.A. in Economics from Northwestern University and a J.D. from Duke University.

Sherry Emery

Senior Scientist at Health Media Collaboratory, University of Illinois at Chicago @sherryemery

Dr. Emery is currently a Research Associate Professor in the Department of Economics and a Senior Research Scientist at the Institute for Health Research and Policy at the University of Illinois at Chicago. For the past 16 years, she has conducted research on tobacco control policies and their relationship to both adult and youth smoking behavior. She is the Director and Principal Investigator of the Health Media Collaboratory, a multi-disciplinary research center, which focuses on the role of both traditional and social media on health behaviors, including smoking, illicit drug use, obesity, and pharmaceutical promotions.

Susan Etlinger

Susan Etlinger is an industry analyst at Altimeter Group, where she works with global companies to develop both social media listening and measurement strategies that support their business objectives. Previously, Susan was a Senior Vice President at Horn Group, where she pioneered the agency's social strategy offering, advising start-ups to Fortune 500 companies on social media best practices and strategic plan development. Susan has a bachelor's degree in rhetoric from the University of California at Berkeley.

Derek Gottfrid

Scott Hendrickson

Zach Hofer-Shall

Zach is Manager, Certified Program at Twitter. Prior to this role, Zach was an Analyst at Forrester Research focusing on social intelligence—the process of driving business insight with social media data. His research focused on the applications of using social media data for the enterprise, the process of identifying actionable insight from online conversation, and the technology and service vendors that make managing social media data possible.

Prior to joining Forrester in 2008, Zach ran the social media strategy arm of a UK-based marketing firm, where he developed a social media monitoring tool and delivered social business strategies. His work involved building and advising on corporate blogs, planning social media marketing campaigns, developing corporate social media strategies, and driving social media monitoring and measurement initiatives.

Ken Hu

Brian Hyndman

Senior Vice President of Global Information Services at NASDAQ OMX Group, Inc.

In this role, he is responsible for the creation and dissemination of valuable information from the quoting and trading in NASDAQ OMX's trading systems worldwide. Mr. Hyndman oversees various internal teams, including Sales, Product Management, Content Administration & Policy, and New Business Development.

He previously served as Senior Vice President of Transaction Services and was responsible for managing operations of U.S. equities trading platforms including The NASDAQ Stock Market, NASDAQ OMX BX and NASDAQ OMX PSX.

Prior to joining NASDAQ in 2004, Mr. Hyndman was the President of BRUT, an electronic communications network (ECN) that competed with the various equity markets in the U.S. He presided over the BRUT's merger with Strike Technologies in 2000, the sale of BRUT to Sungard Data Systems in 2002 and the eventual sale of BRUT to The NASDAQ Stock Market in 2004.

Prior to joining BRUT, Mr. Hyndman served as Vice President of Execution Services for the National Discount Brokers Group, managing 120 employees. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the State University of New York at Oswego. Mr. Hyndman also holds numerous licenses from the National Association of Securities Dealers, including the 4, 7, 24, 27, 53 and 63.

Rob Johnson

VP of Product and Strategy at Gnip @robjohnson

Rob is the Vice President of Product and Strategy at Gnip, the world's largest and most trusted provider of social data. At Gnip, Rob Johnson is responsible for driving the development and production of Gnip's products. He also plays an integral role in working with Gnip's social media publishers to make more public data available in the social data ecosystem. Previously, Rob was the co-founder of EventVue, and took part in the inaugural class of TechStars. Rob graduated from Clemson with a BS in Computer Engineering.

Heidi Johnson

Heidi is the global product lead and Managing Director at Markit, a leading global financial information services company. At Markit, Heidi drives the strategy, development and production of products and services focused on identity management, collaboration and social data for the financial services industry. Prior to Markit, Heidi was the GM for digital strategy and development at a global investment bank. She received both her Masters and Bachelors degrees from the University of Pennsylvania.

Abe Kazemzadeh

CTO at Annenberg Innovation Lab, University of Southern California @AbeKazemzadeh

Abe Kazemzadeh is the chief technology officer of the Annenberg Innovation Lab (AIL), which is in the University of Southern California's Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism. His roles include technical and scientific research, collaboration with AIL sponsors, project management, and software engineering. His technical experience includes natural language processing, speech recognition, human-computer interaction, affective computing, sentiment analysis, and computer-aided education. He has a bachelors degree in linguistics, a masters degree in computational linguistics, and a PhD in computer science, all from the University of Southern California.

Throughout his undergraduate and graduate studies, he was a member of the USC Viterbi School of Engineering's Signal Analysis and Interpretation Laboratory (SAIL), where he studied dialog agent design and evaluation, technology-based assessment of spoken language and literacy, and emotion recognition. His PhD dissertation, Natural Language Description of Emotion, is about how people describe emotions using natural language and how computers can understand and generate such language.

Adam Laiacano

Adam Laiacano is a Data Scientist and Engineer at Tumblr, a blogging network with over 100 million blogs, where he's responsible for collecting and analyzing large volumes of data to gain a better understanding of trends and activity within the Tumblr community. John Lovett

Paul Maiorana

Will Mayo

Will Mayo is the Director of Business Development for Government and Professional Services at Gnip. In this role, Will is responsible for identifying new opportunities for organizations to leverage social media data to better understand and improve improve customer relationships.

Prior to joining Gnip, Will served as a Senior Manager in Deloitte Consulting's Strategy and Operations group. In this capacity, Will provided strategic planning, customer relationship management, and data analytics expertise to address various clients within the government and non-profit sector.

Seth McGuire

Jaime Settle

Assistant Professor at College of William & Mary

Jaime Settle received her Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of California at San Diego, and is currently an assistant professor in the Department of Government at the College of William & Mary. Jaime incorporates data and methods from the natural sciences into her research to help explain fundamental aspects of political behavior. Her dissertation examined how innate differences between people—genetic, psychological, and personality—moderate the effect of exposure to political contention on voter turnout. She is also interested in the potential of large-scale datasets derived from online social networks (such as Facebook) to refine an understanding of the effects of our social network on how we think, feel and behave politically. Her work has been published in the journals Nature, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, American Journal of Political Science, Journal of Politics, Political Research Quarterly, and American Politics Research. Her work with her colleagues has been featured in the New York Times, the Washington Post, and on National Public Radio.

Mohammad Shahangian

Daniel Slotwiner

Over the past decade, Daniel Slotwiner has held a variety of positions in the Market Research and Media Measurement industry. Starting with his work at Knowledge Networks, Daniel sought to improve panel management techniques and led many research initiatives concerned with improving representation, retention and weighting practices. This research led to important improvements in the measurement of consumer attitudes over the web and from panels more generally. At Google and Facebook, Daniel's research and responsibilities have focused on media measurement and ad effectiveness. Today, he leads the Agency and PMD measurement group at Facebook.

Jud Valeski

Tom Watson

Thomas Watson is the Vice President of U.S. Derivatives Market Data and Partner Products at NYSE Euronext. Tom is responsible for real-time and historical market data for NYSE Euronext's U.S. proprietary derivatives markets, NYSE Arca options, NYSE AMEX Options, and NYSE Liffe US, as well as synthetic and partner products.

Tom joined NYSE Technologies after 5 years at trading software vendors, Orc Software and Trading Technologies, where he oversaw product management for connectivity to the world's markets. Tom also spent 10 years at ABN AMRO in a variety of roles within the fixed income and derivatives trading businesses.

Tom has a Bachelor's Degree from Wabash College, and an MBA from the University of Chicago's Booth School of Business.
